BlueBell Railway - 1 Mile

The Bluebell Railway is a heritage line running for 11 miles along the border between East and West Sussex, England. It uses steam trains which operate between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead, with intermediate stations at Horsted Keynes and Kingscote.

Sheffield Park - 2.9 Miles

Sheffield Park was laid out in the 18th century by Capability Brown and is a great place for a walk all year round. Whether you want a peaceful stroll or to follow trails with the family, there is something for everyone. You can travel from London Victoria via Croydon to East Grinstead and then down to Sheffield Park on the Bluebell Railway.

Ashdown Forest - 3 Miles

We are exceptionally lucky to be just on the edge and surrounded by the Ashdown Forest. Originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times, Ashdown Forest is now the largest free public access space in the South East. It is a great place for walking and enjoying spectacular views over the Sussex countryside and is known all over the world as the ‘home’ of Winnie-the-Pooh.

Wakehurst Place - 3.4 Miles

Wakehurst and explore 465 acres of country estate with ornamental gardens, temperate woodlands and an Elizabethan Mansion. Join the seasonal walks and themed tours to discover more. Visit Kew’s Millennium Seed Bank to see scientists at work and discover how they are helping to safeguard the world’s most endangered plants.

Bluebell Vineyard

Set amidst bluebell-strewn woods from which the vineyard derives its name, Bluebell Vineyard Estates is an award-winning vineyard and winery in the heart of Sussex, on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. Tours available as well as a stunning wedding venue 

Glyndebourne Opera House

Glyndebourne is an English country house, the site of an opera house that, since 1934, has been the venue for the annual Glyndebourne Festival Opera. Initially, operas were presented within the house but there is now a free-standing opera house on its grounds. The house itself, located near Lewes in East Sussex, England,
