The Crown Inn at Horsted Keynes is an historic building dating back to the 16th century. It has now been serving locals and travellers for over 250 years. In July 2003, lightning struck a power line to the building which resulted in very serious damage and large parts of the building were destroyed. Fortunately the oldest parts were untouched and after being closed for over 5 years, it was finally reopened in 2009.
The Inn has recently been taken on by Simon and Mark Dennis who also run the Rose and Crown at Cuckfield. Their aim is to create a friendly atmosphere where you can either drink by the bar or dine in the welcoming restaurant. Larger parties are also catered for.
There are also four delightful rooms which make The Crown an ideal place to stay and explore Sussex.
